Ofosu’s 12 mood-boosting winter activities

Hey friend! 

It’s the first big snow of the year here in Washington DC and, as a lover of the snow, it’s got me thinking of all the different activities for boosting my mood during the winter months. 

Here are a few of the things I love to do this time of year:

1. Connect with friends and family. 

2. Enjoying time outside (bundled up, of course!).  

3. Drinking tea and watching the world go by. 

4. Watching comfort movies and TV shows for the billionth time. 

5. Doing something meaningful and creative, like making a vision board for the new year. 

6. Creating a winter music playlist.

7. Going on long drives.

8. Doing absolutely nothing, a.k.a. resting.

9. Going on a meditation retreat.

10. Discovering new, meaningful podcasts. 

11. Getting caught up on reading.

12. Keeping a regular meditation practice.

These are the ways I enjoy spending the winter months. How about you? What do you do that helps bring you joy and comfort this time of year? Whatever it is, I hope you’re able to do it with presence and an attitude of kindness towards yourself
